DO NOT DO THIS!!!

If a website has a paywall, like New York Times, DO NOT use the ctrl+A shortcut then the ctrl+c shortcut as fast as you can because then you may accidentally copy the entire article before the paywall comes up. And definitely don’t do ctrl+v into the next google doc or whatever you open because then you will accidentally paste the entire article into a google doc or something!!!! I repeat DO NOT do this because it is piracy which is absolutely totally wrong!!!

Also do NOT append “12ft.io/” before a URL ! Typing an URL like this https://12ft.io/<URL> will redirect to a site that would break the display of the page by removing the paywall !

Honestly it’s kind of prohibited to mash CTRL+P before some paywall windows can load in to get a PDF of the article. Really shouldn’t be done tbh very dangerous🤷🏿‍♂️ ❌️

nothing will change your perspective on a character like someone who is batshit obsessed with them

how i feel when someone convinces me a character is so awesome by constantly talking about them and i find a new found appreciation for that character and i would have never come to that realization without them

no fucking way man i refuse to believe this is real

i’ve been thinking about this picture all day and just how we’ve totally plateaued with videogame graphics. been thinking about half life because of the new noclip doc about it and like. look at the graphical difference that only like 6 years made.

half life 2 still holds up honestly. and you just don’t get graphical upgrades this intense in the modern day gaming space. there’s no like… magic in it anymore. everything is trying too hard to chase that hyper realism and everything looks exactly the same. we live in hell also

It’s annoying that these are the most commonly used images of Venus because neither one is remotely what the planet actually looks like to the human eye. The one on the left is a radar image of the terrain below the cloud cover and the one on the right is an infrared view with greatly exaggerated colours. In actual reality the planet looks like an almost featureless white disk. The photo below was made by the MESSENGER probe on its way to Mercury and it’s the most accurate to visible light close-up view of Venus we have.

image

There’s something very powerful about knowing that underneath this solid, featureless mass of clouds is a burning, crushing wasteland.

The stigma of self-inserts is so harmful to the creative process. Relax. Admit it. Everything you make is derivative of yourself, always, no exceptions. You can turn the mirror into tinier and tinier shards or you can make it as big as you want to reflect as much as you want. At the end of the day it’s always going to show you inside of it. Pretending otherwise is stupid.

one of the greatest tragedies in life is that you will always be loved more than you will ever know. someone in class finds your presence inviting and warm, even if you’ve only ever exchanged a few words with them—maybe none at all. someone on the street loves your smile and it gets them down the next few streets. someone you used to be friends with still wishes to fondly call your name. someone you used to be friends with five years ago would give anything to be in the same room as you today. someone who regularly comes into work is disappointed when you aren’t there to brighten their day. someone missed you today. someone noticed you were gone. someone loves you when you’re there; someone loves you when you’re nowhere to be found at all. you think you have always disappeared when you’re no longer in the picture, but you’ve never left the frame.

the funniest dynamc between my boyfriend and i is the chef/baker divide runs so deep. experimentally my boyfriend is a genius with figuring out what flavor profiles will not just taste good together but also will be enjoyed by the specific audience he is cooking for. a recipe is not a guidebook so much as a suggestion and he will frankenstein ideas together to get exactly what he wants to happen. he also didnt know that sugar will not work properly if you dont mix it with the wet ingredients in banana bread and when i asked ‘why didnt you do it in the order of the recipe’ he said 'i didnt really think it mattered’. autistically i exploded his head in my mind

when your pumpkin loaf or banana loaf is not delightfully moist and soft and sweet like the pillow of a cherub and instead is like a dense fruitcake brick of misery we will see who is pretentious then. beast
